Concrete Monkey Designs is aimed towards employing and helping young professionals and/or small businesses, to gain experience in their various professions. Whether you are still studying or working a full time job wanting to make extra money, we want to have you join the team. 

As a freelancer the benefits of working your projects through us are:

1. You get backed by a company name that is partnered with a variety of professionals in the Built Environment. This gives you the opportunity to learn your professional process as well as other professionals that are involved in the process. This allows someone without any knowledge of the processes to still successfully run a project as we will guide you through all the stages, ensuring a successful project.

2. This includes getting Professional signatures where needed.

3. You will be covered by a Professional Indemnity Insurance, as required by law for professionals, of up to two million rand in claims. This makes you more appealing to clients to hire you for a project.  This is charged at 10% of the quoted amount to client.

4. You get the opportunity to complete an entire project by yourself, this always looks good on a CV. CMD does however offer the option to handle all admin work which includes submitting to council. 

5. The company is run by young professionals like yourself who understand the struggle of getting experience or finding jobs. This creates a community where we are all able to help each other. A single project, no matter how big or small allows for at least 2 other professionals to also gain experience. 

6. Being a young professional team, we are all open to learning and growing. That means there really aren’t any stupid questions! If you have a question do not hesitate to ask, we were all there at one point.

7. CMD’s goal is to ultimately create a mentoring system, we hope that those that have worked a project/s through CMD and have successfully established themselves in their careers will be available to help guide and teach the next generation. 

8. CMD does not run this initiative to take advantage of young professionals in need of work. We have various support packages to suit your needs.
